Localizations

Settings

Through the Settings interface under Localizations, you will be able to set a time zone for your store. You can also look over your recent language and default currency setups here. Besides that, it helps you map the countries in which your store operates and maps them exclusively. Only then will they be displayed in your Control Panel Settings at those places where the country selection is required, i.e., while doing Currency Setup, during the setting of Shipping/Tax Zones, and while End-User Registration.

To make the localisation specific changes, you will need to:

  • Login to ACP
  • Navigate to Settings
  • Click on Localizations
  • Click on Settings

Here, you will find two areas of configuration. Fill in the required details and update the settings as per your choice.

Configurations
Here, you will be able to set basic details like the time zone and merchant language from this section.

  • Default Language - The selected default language would be English.

  • Default Currency - The default currency will appear here (Eg. INR for India based sites).

  • Time Zone - You can select the required time zone from the given drop-down here.

  • Mail Language For Merchant - Select any one of Language in which Order is Placed or Custom Language and choose the language from the drop-down for the same.

Check the box of Load the website in the browser's default language if you want it to be the default language.

After making all the changes, click on Save to save them.

Mapping Countries
Here, you will have two boxes, one has the Available Countries and the other will have Assigned Countries. You can shift the countries from Available section to Assigned section in order to assign them as selected countries.

Tick mark the boxes given below if you want to activate them:

  • Consider the selected countries for user registration.
  • Consider the selected countries for billing of orders.
  • Consider the selected countries for shipping of orders.
  • Filters checkout shipping Country/state/city based on delivery areas.

Note: If any of the checkboxes is unchecked, all the available countries will be considered.

Now, click on Save to save all the changes.

Currency Setup

With the help of a Currency Setup interface, you will be able to set up multiple currencies at your store for enabling the end-users to view the products in multiple currencies as per your configuration. Furthermore, you can also enable the end-user to have an access to the prices automatically in a currency that is mapped to the login country of the end-user (when he logs in from anywhere in the world), which in turn is tracked down by the login IP Address.

To make the facility buy in multiple currencies, you will need to configure Payment Gateways accordingly after a proper tie-up with them.

To make all the currency related changes, you will need to:

  • Login to ACP
  • Navigate to Settings
  • Click on Localizations
  • Click on Currency Setup

Here, you will find two fields to fill in. Make the currency changes or add a new currency.

Currencies In Your Store

The list of currencies will be displayed, with their code, conversion factor, and actions. You can click on edit to edit the given currency or delete to delete it.

To create a new currency, click on Add New Currency. A new line will appear in the same list and you can choose the currency from the drop-down, type in the conversion factor and click on Save to save the changes. A new currency will be added to the list.

Conversion Factor

You can edit the conversion factor. It indicates the value of One Unit of your Base/Default Currency in terms of the number of units of selected Currency. As per your own value or you can take the most appropriate and latest value from the Download option.

IP Tracking
There will be three checkboxes given on top of this section:

  • Hide in StoreUI
  • Track IP
  • Display All Currency On Storefront

You can check either one, two or all three checkboxes. Note that when the Track IP checkbox is selected, the product prices in your web store will be automatically changed as per the IP address of the end-user using your Currency Setup. However, users can change the currency through the Country-Currency flag in the storefront. To hide this flag, select Hide StoreUI checkbox.

Select the countries from the given list to map them with the currencies. Click on Save to save these changes.
