Unified Login/Registration Flow with Social Login

As part of AMJ '22, we have designed a more unified and well-integrated login flow for a seamless login/registration experience. As a part of this login/registration flow, users can login using either a combination of email or mobile and password or via OTP validation or via social login.

In addition, this flow takes into consideration the user data already present in the CRM database for the login process.

Problem Faced

Until now, we had four login/registration flows:

  1. Email ID & password based logins
  2. Email ID or Brand-specific ID & password based flows
  3. Email ID or Mobile number & password based logins
  4. Mobile number and OTP or password based logins

The problem users faced was the inability to seamlessly implement user-friendly social and OTP based logins in the same login flow. Either the mobile number or email needed to be unique. This step hindered the login/registration as customers hardly enjoy spending time logging in/registering through a long process.

Solution

So, we have designed a flow that guarantees the uniqueness of mobile and email. it also enables login via both the OTP-based and password-based simultaneously.

As a part of this flow, we have also integrated it with the CRM database, making the whole registration process truly omnichannel. This integration will help offline customers reduce the login/registration time as they won't need to register on an online storefront again.

This login/registration flow can not only improve the user’s experience on your site but also reduce login/registration failures.
